The storyboard is good

the transition is also quite creative, the dubbing of the male and female protagonists is very good, and it is generally acceptable, but there are also many flaws.|It is a mystery what language the mermaids use to communicate. Sometimes they speak English, sometimes they speak mermaid language. The princess obviously knows English, but the prince still needs a translator. Could it be that these two people have been in love for so long and they have been "only making love and not talking"? Such a low-level mistake can only mean that the internal granularity is not aligned.|The positioning of the heroine is a bit awkward. She has become the protagonist inexplicably, and can even confront the prince privately. It feels that the only purpose of this role is to throw herself into his arms. The other content is just to make up for the length. In the end, she also helps to make up for the one-night stand. I guess Geralt is smiling.|I was stunned when I saw the siren suddenly singing. It was almost a clear reference to "The Little Mermaid", but the ending of this one is more in line with modern times, unlike traditional fairy tales.|The story of the Witcher series is known for "no absolute right and wrong", which will make the audience very painful but it is indeed thought-provoking, but this one is so-so, and the characters are more stereotyped, but I am still looking forward to the role of the skull barrel.

This film is adapted from the short story "A Little Sacrifice" in "Sword of Destiny".

This short story tells the story of Geralt accepting the task of translating "merman language", during which he investigates the death of the pearl diver, and finally discovers that the fishman (not the mermaid) seems to be carrying out some kind of conspiracy. The story depicts the selfishness of the Duke, the infatuation of the mermaid, and the love between Geralt and Ashe well. But the main plot is anticlimactic and ends without a cure, and in the end, no one knows what the fishman is doing. The original book has flaws, and the movie adaptation is also the same. "The Siren of the Abyss" is a mess except for a few action shots. The basic overview is that all the villains have lowered their intelligence: the king went to war in order to prevent his son from free love. And the final battle is one dares to go to sea (the king) and the other dares to go ashore (the mermaid). Speaking of the final battle, why did the mermaid troops have to board the ship to fight instead of sinking the human warships?

I feel it's still okay, the plot rhythm is good

It's totally worth 4 stars for its excellent art design and the exciting fighting scenes. People say the plot is weak, but it's actually okay. It's just the Little Mermaid version of Avatar. However, the changes in the behavior logic of some individual characters are indeed a bit abrupt, but the core of the whole story does have the essence of the original short story collection of The Witcher: a magical adaptation of a dark fairy tale, criticizing the ugliness of human nature, and praising the brightness of human nature... In fact, the biggest problem with this film is that it is limited by its length and the pace is too rushed. It would be more appropriate to make it into a TV series like Castlevania.

Movies adapted from art collections

The graphics are very detailed, the characters are relatively good-looking, the battle scenes are well-drawn, and the first impression is quite good.

But the more I watched the movie, the less patient I became. The logic of the main conflict in the story was barely reasonable, although it was not at all exquisite. There are countless similar routines in Western fantasy themes; and the details were probably made up by the screenwriter because he was in a hurry and had no patience. In terms of character creation, except for the gay camel, the action logic of other characters is almost unrestrained, and they come up with whatever they want. The complexity of the suspense plot is comparable to that of children's books.

With 5 points for art and 1 point for plot, it might be more promising for the creative team to switch to making card-drawing games.

Overseas Reviews

Don't compare the quality of the Nezha movie with this one! If you do, this one is a piece of crap!!!

Story summary:

Inspired by Eastern European folklore and mythology, the story revolves around Geralt's investigation of a seaside disturbance, where ancient legends of the coastal region collide with reality, and the forbidden love between a mermaid princess and a human prince leads to political strife and personal dilemmas.

Overseas reviews:

Geralt and Jaskier are the core characters, while retaining the original story, showing a new relationship between the characters. Geralt is tangled in his heart, and Jaskier's image is more three-dimensional. New characters such as Essie Daven, Sheenaz and Prince Agloval enrich the story from different angles and reflect the cultural connotation. The voice actors performed well, enhancing the appeal of the characters.

The animation combines traditional hand-painted and digital technology, the character design is exquisite, the underwater scenes are detailed, the light and shadow effects simulate nature, and the scene design combines history and fantasy to construct an immersive world.

The battle scenes are fast-paced. Geralt's battles combine swordsmanship, spells and tactics. The battles with aquatic monsters highlight his abilities. The monster designs are derived from traditional art. The action scenes drive the development of the plot and show the conflict between man and natural forces.

The series explores the complex relationship between biology and society through plots such as forbidden love, incorporates classic fairy tale elements such as the sea witch, balances the narrative rhythm through flashbacks and other techniques, and prompts the audience to think about the reshaping of traditional legends in modern media.

As part of the "The Witcher" series, the drama enriches the story content, reinterprets the legend in a unique animation form, and combines multiple elements to attract different audiences. Its innovation stimulates discussions about the evolution of popular myths and brings new thinking to the development of the series.

Overall, the show's strengths are its unique visual style, rich character creation, exciting battle scenes, and detailed worldview; its weaknesses are uneven rhythms that affect the narrative fluency, abrupt narrative transitions that easily confuse the audience, and insufficient depth in the portrayal of some supporting characters. Overall, the show has injected new vitality into the "Demon Hunter" series and is worth watching.
