A very smooth French commercial film!

The 15-minute prologue uses two action scenes, namely a motorcycle racing scene and an indoor action scene, to set the tone for the whole film. It doesn't pay much attention to the plot. If you like the style of the first two parts, you will definitely like the third part, which magnifies the advantages of the first two parts. But if you think the first two parts are not good, then you won't like the third part either. The action scenes are much better than the first two parts. The city car chase scene must be borrowed from Mission Impossible. In the end, everyone gets on the plane and sets off fireworks. There is another short segment at the end. In fact, I think the plot is still interesting. It's not as bad as I imagined.

Overseas film reviews: The film has many highlights.

The action scenes are rich, such as motorcycle chases, close combat, car and helicopter duels, which are really shocking. The real shots with few special effects and sound effects and music bring a strong audio-visual impact; the leading actors Alban Lenoir and Quentin D'Hainaut have excellent acting skills, and the action scenes and emotional interpretations are in place; although the plot can be traced, the character alliances and power struggles are full of surprises, and the criticism of law enforcement agencies breaks the traditional police and gangster film routines; as the final chapter of the series, it well concludes the plot of the previous work and makes the protagonist's motivation more reasonable. However, the film also has shortcomings. In terms of narrative, the plot is routine and dragged, and some branch scenes affect the rhythm, making it difficult for the audience to resonate with the characters and the plot; the action design lacks novelty, mostly vehicle movement, relying on fast editing to create tension, creative scenes are not fully displayed, and the visual effects are bland.

Plot summary : Following the story of the previous film, the fugitive protagonist transports drugs for a criminal boss in Germany, and then begins to flee to avoid being hunted down. He also tries to find his wife and children on the way. At the same time, Alexander, the head of the corrupt French drug enforcement department, clashes with the protagonist in order to eliminate hidden dangers before his promotion.

Movie Review

advantage

  • Exciting action scenes: The action scenes in the movie are rich and varied, including exciting motorcycle chases, fierce close combat, exciting car chases, etc., especially the scene of car and helicopter confrontation is impressive. In addition, CGI or VFX are rarely used during filming. Most of the exterior shots such as vehicle collisions are very real, and with excellent sound design and soundtrack, it brings a strong audio-visual impact.

  • Excellent performances by the actors: Alban Lenoir performed well in the driving and fighting scenes, and was able to interpret the character's emotions very well. In addition, Quentin D'Hainaut's martial arts skills added a lot to the role.

  • Plot surprises: Although the story is predictable, the screenwriter makes the plot unpredictable through the ever-changing alliances and power struggles between the characters. At the same time, the film is also a profound criticism of law enforcement, subverting the inherent routine of traditional police and gangster films.

-Good series integrity: As the final chapter of the series, the film attempts to wrap up all the plots of the first two films, making the character motivations reasonable and interesting. It is an improvement over the previous film and allows the audience to resonate with the motivations of the protagonist Lino.

shortcoming

  • Poor storytelling: The director is not good at storytelling, the plot is formulaic and predictable, and some plots are dragged out, such as the scenes involving Resz and Inspector Moss, which slow down the pace. The audience is not very concerned about the relationship between the characters and the development of the plot in the story, and it is easy to feel bored when watching the movie.

  • Action design lacks imagination: The action scenes are dynamic, but mostly vehicles driving from one place to another, lacking innovation. The director over-relies on the editor's quick cuts to heighten the tension, and some creative scenes fail to be fully utilized, such as the scene of the modified car setting off firecrackers, which is visually bland.

Recommended index four stars

Just for the action and special effects, I can give it 4 stars. The rest can be ignored. It's not as bad as some people say. This movie is actually worth 7 points. Some people give it points against their conscience. For French movies, this is already a leader, okay? And the actor's performance is very interesting. I am fascinated by him. He is just a guy with strength but nowhere to use it. I have seen the first two movies, but only this one left a deep impression on me. The plot is secondary, the action is awesome. It is both satisfying and stress-relieving.

This series is still quite martial arts-oriented.

In the third episode, it is still about chasing each other in cars. The beginning is motorcycle racing, the middle part is about breaking out of the downtown, and the last two scenes of modified cars showing their magical powers. The capacity, scale and variety are all improved, especially the fireworks are set off in all directions, cars, trucks and helicopters are taken away in one pot, and the local law enforcement agencies are specialized in dealing with the underworld. The camera language is sharp and very relaxing. The shortcomings of this series are also inherited. The relationship between the characters is boring, the characters are not distinctive, the plot arrangement is sloppy, and the action scenes are used to refresh the mind from time to time. It is the kind of drama that you can watch and you can't remember it after watching it. The fight in the safe house, the extra kicking the protagonist and falling down, the protagonist hitting the extra's calf with a brick and screaming, are all very funny, and the three people fighting in the tram in pairs later is also a bit funny.
